2015

Yes, I'm late, I know. And yes, everyone is doing resolutions, I know. *Guiltily jumps on bandwagon*

But I've been thinking a lot about this year and what I'd like to do with it, so this is my way of documenting it. I'm already excited to look back this time next year and see how things panned out!

1. Stop looking ahead. This is a difficult one and I will probably contradict myself at some point, but it is within my nature to constantly wish time away and always be looking onto the next thing. I'm really quite bad at enjoying things 'in the moment'. It's something I'd like to work on because I feel lots of amazing things passed me by in 2014 because I was too busy worrying about other things and what would happen next. To try and combat this I'm currently taking a photo every day, to make me find the positives in each day as well as having something to look back on and remember the year.

2. See a bit more of the world. I'm not going to go overboard with this one as I have recently discovered I get extremely anxious about travelling, especially by myself or people I'm not comfortable with. So, I'm just going to plan a few trips here and there with my nearest and dearest, whilst I'm living in Italy and have a bit more money (I'm looking at you, Erasmus grant).

3. Keep enjoying the little things in life. There are certain times in life when I am very easily pleased; sit me down with a good book and a cup of coffee and I'm yours. I like to think I'm already quite good with this - I know what my favourite little (usually free) things are and I do them quite a lot. And watching someone close to me slowly become less aware of the good things in life due to working way too hard has made me appreciate these things that much more.

4. Keep blogging? This blog is specifically for my year abroad so will no doubt end in about 6 months... But I've been thinking about setting up a new one for afterwards. This would involve just everyday bits and bobs; specifically I love kind of weekly roundups and continuously being able to document and appreciate lifey things - travel, places to go in Newcastle, what I've been up to, student struggles, gigs I've been to, etc etc etc.

Who knows?
