2014

January

I started off 2014 with my best friend Grace, at the Sage Gateshead. We saw the Brand New Heavies perform, drank champagne and laughed a lot. She's such a good egg.

February

I think February was mostly full of uni work, practices and a few gigs...

March

March was more gigging and going to see Jack Whitehall!

April

April is my birthday month! It started off by going to see the Robert Glasper Experiment at the Sage which was amazing. I also went to Newcastle's Boiler Shop steamer to see Lack of Afro & Craig Charles, then went on a little trip to Liverpool with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday with one of my oldest and best friends, Emily, and her boyfriend. A pretty good month I'd say!

May

I reckon May was the time my flatmates and I started to get a bit stressed with uni work! I tried to do a bit too much and it was hard to balance rehearsals, gigs with jazz band, essays, being a committee member of Newcastle Uni's music festival, and spending time with my friends and boyfriend... The 29th of May was my last deadline and I remember it well!

June

This was probably the best month. Uni stress was over and I had a holiday to look forward to. However it was also the month it hit me and my flatmates that we would never live with all 6 of us again! With two of us going abroad, one doing a work placement and the three others staying for final year, we've been well and truly split up which is sad, and it made me realise how fast our second year had gone. (Don't worry, we reunite later in the year)
Here are some holiday snaps from mine and Tom's trip to Crete!

July

July involved me moving back home to Whitby and working mostly in The Marine piano bar and Raithwaite Hall. I saw my best friend Rona on her birthday which was lovely - sometimes there's nothing better than a few cocktails and a catch up.

August

This month was similar; it just involved working, seeing a few friends, spending time with family and visiting the boyfriend in Leeds. However it also involved meeting up with all my flatmates from both first and second year for a night out in Manchester! It was hilarious and so nice to see everyone. The second photo from a lovely summery walk around town with my friend Monica, who was about to head off to New York for 3 months (lucky thing).

September

I don't actually have any photos for this month which is a bit sad?! It was a weird month and nothing much happened because as all my friends and family started back at work or university, I stayed at home and just kept working seeing as I wasn't due to leave for Italy until October. So I just sat back and watched everyone else start their new year...

October

...and suddenly it became October. I went up to Newcastle to say a final farewell to my flatmates and friends, and had a little 'last supper' meal out at home with the boyfriend and family too.

November

Well, by this point I was living in Italy. Making a fool of myself on a daily basis, and learning the ways of Italian life in Perugia. I'll spare you lots of this months photos cause there are a lot. But here are some of my favourites!

December

Well it's not quite over yet, we've still got New Year's Eve ahead of us. But so far it's been pretty bloody good.

Well, it's been a lovely year! Let's see what 2015 brings... Hope you've had a lovely Christmas/holiday and a happy New Year
