The Little Things #2

My first post about 'the little things' was unintentional and had some good and bad bits thrown in there.

This year however, I am going to regularly post about the little things; any (good) little moments that I want to document and remember. This won't necessarily be every week, the same as my music favourites won't, but just whenever I've compiled enough things that I think make up a post!

I think I maybe mentioned this in my 2015 post, but there are so many moments of 2014 I know I've forgotten or that take a while to remember and I don't want that to happen this year, especially seeing as I'm abroad for half of it.

There will also hopefully be photos to accompany these little things soon, but being the numpty I am I left my camera lead in England!

So, here are a few of my current 'happy' things:

1. Waking up to the sound of rain this morning, followed by blazing sunrays through my window. I'm not particularly a summer person, but whether I liked it or not the sun was determined to cheer me up today.

2. Coffee. Proper, instant, I don't mind. My love of coffee comes in waves; sometimes I panic and think 'no I'll become an addict and get yellow teeth etc etc' and binge on green tea instead, but other times (especially when in Italy) it is such a lovely thing to include in your day.

3. A pair of earphones. I'm pretty late to the party on this one. 'How on earth have you been living without earphones?!' I hear you cry. Well, let me break it to you, I have never owned an Ipod. Or a good set of earphones/headphones. I brought some with me on my first journey to Italy, however they did not work and I learned this the hard way when my phone started blaring out Beyonce to the whole plane. Sigh. However I have just bought some more for actually over £1 (I know, crazy) and I can safely say my music experience has been transformed. It's like you're in your own little world, right?! Does anyone else sometimes feel like they're in a film too? No? Oh...

4. Finding new blogs. I read quite a few blogs - even when I'm not particularly interested in the topic or content, I love reading other people's thoughts and opinions, and admiring their photos. I enjoy travel blogs (even if I'm still a wimp about travelling myself) and my favourites at the moment are:

5. I had a singing lesson. This is actually not so much a 'little' thing, it's pretty momentous. In summary, my teacher is lovely and I can tell I'm going to learn a lot. Woo!

That'll do for now I think. Actually yeah, let's do 5 points for these kind of posts. 5's a good number.

Let me know if you have any 'little things' moments; they make you appreciate things so much more, I promise!
