Round-up in numbers

In a few days I will be going home for Christmas. The past 2 months have completely flown by. Most days have been good, some have been… hmm, let’s say ‘character building’. I have learnt a lot.

Anyway I thought before I go I would do a little round up of the first 2 months of my year abroad!

No. of awkward interactions with Conservatorio receptionists: 10

No. of coffees consumed: 20

No. of lessons at the conservatorio: grand total of about 8.

No. of mornings I’ve been woken up by church bells: pretty often, I’m gonna guess 45

No. of times rain has leaked into my room: 2

No. of non-understandable conversations with the old man next door: 5

No. of Skypes home/Tom/friends: 7

No. of amazing sunrises/sunsets seen: about 15

No. of singing lessons: 1, with a non-singing teacher. Who knows when I’ll have a real one…

No. of times I’ve said ‘non parlo Italiano’: too many to think about

No. of pizzas eaten: see above answer

No. of pounds gained: again, see above answer…

So, there it is! By the time I come back I will be a third of the way through the year, which is crazy. By then I will also hopefully be taking Italian lessons, having more lessons at the Conservatorio, maybe even having singing lessons?! No, that’d be too good to be true…

I tried to post every day in December but failed. That’s ok though, the idea was mainly to cure my boredom during the days. But expect a few Christmassy posts in the next few weeks whilst I’m at home!

Merry Christmas!
x
