I'm not usually a traveller, and I'm definitely not usually a writer, but I decided to move from England to Italy for a year, and now that I'm here I feel the need to document some of the things I'm doing/learning.
I can't promise it will involve wild and thrilling adventures, because let's face it, Italy moves at a snails pace, but having lived here for 11 days I do know that it will involve wine, pizza, pasta and chocolate. Which is fine with me.
However, those things are common knowledge, so I want to write down more of the things I come across in everyday life, and the things that people don't really warn you about before moving abroad...
Like having to be directed to the easiest-to-find piazza in the whole city by a seventy year old Italian woman who, as you embarrassingly find when walking (panting) up the hill, is a lot physically fitter than you.
Like I say, I am not a writer, so posts will more likely consist of badly taken photos and occasional ramblings, but if you are reading I hope you enjoy a little insight into Italian life in Perugia!
